Group therapy
I also offer depth psychology-based group therapy for young adults (18-21 years old). This mixed group, with approximately seven participants, meets on Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:40 p.m. Joining and preliminary discussions for the group are possible at any time. In addition to group therapy, additional individual sessions are also available.
Please feel free to contact me about this.
Although group therapy is common practice in inpatient settings, it is (still) not widely used in outpatient care. Group therapy is just as effective as individual therapy and also offers diverse opportunities for self-awareness, feedback, social learning, and experimentation that are not possible in individual therapy. Many anxieties can be addressed more specifically and effectively. The group is open to all types of symptoms, meaning that participants may struggle with very different challenges. However, the basic themes are often very similar, depending on the age of the participants, with regard to identity formation in career/training, friendship/relationships/sexuality, and separation from the family of origin.
